Description
A new setting of the classical English madrigal by Orlando Gibbons. I remember singing the original as a Sixth Former and admit that it takes some beating. such a beautiful text and haunting tune. I hope I’ve done it justice! My version is also for unaccompanied SATB chamber choir with a couple of solo voices along the way. It has a completely different melody but retains the same reflective mood.
