A Day in Nottingham

Yesterday was the very first Choir Community ‘Arrangers Repertoire Day‘ in Nottingham and I was very proud to be involved. Over 20 choir leaders from near and far travelled in to join myself, Abi Moore, Wendy Sergeant and Timothy Allen to sing through new arrangements we have made available at www.choircommunity.net

We each led a short session and gave tips on how to teach the songs to various choirs. It was brilliant to finally meet some of the Choir Community team in person and chat about all things choral! Hoping to do much more of this kind of thing so watch this space!

‘Northumberland’ premiere

Thank you and congratulations to Kathryn Davidson and Tynedale Community Choir for a wonderful first performance of my newly commissioned piece ‘Northumberland’ last night at your 20th Birthday Concert at the Queens Hall Arts in Hexham. The song for unaccompanied SATB choir was based on the poem by W. W. Gibson…Hexham’s very own poet! The score will be available here for other choirs to enjoy very soon…
